Thanks to the wonders of the time difference, my contribution to Shimelle’s blogging meme 10 Things on the 10th<\/em> is a day late. However it will hit the blogosphere at the same time as many of those actually written on the 10th in the northern hemisphere. Go figure.<\/p>\n

For my list this month I’ve decided to give a shout out to the awesome women who’ve influenced my scrapbooking.<\/p>\n

Sue<\/a> – the first person I knew who actually scrapbooked (after I understood what it was, I thought I’d quite like to try it).<\/p>\n

Rosalie<\/a> – without whom I would possibly not be a scrapbooker. I attended a class she taught at the local craft store and was hooked.<\/p>\n

Stacy Julian<\/a> – I read her book Simple Scrapbooks<\/em> before I even knew what ‘scrapbooking’ was. Rosalie pointed me in the direction of Stacy’s on-line education site, Big Picture Scrapbooking (now Big Picture Classes<\/a>) and I was inspired all over again.<\/p>\n

Amy Sorensen<\/a> – who tutored the first Big Picture class I ever enrolled for – Write Now<\/em>. It was amazing and I still refer to the class notes from time to time.<\/p>\n

Lain Ehmann<\/a> – whose Layout A Day (LOAD) challenge I signed up for in February 2009.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Krislyn – who was a participant in the same LOAD challenge in 2009, and who invited me to meet up in real life. As a result I joined the on-line group she co-ordinates and got to know the other members – who are also inspiring scrapbookers.<\/p>\n

Cathy Zielske<\/a> – whose books Clean and Simple Scrapbooking<\/em> and\u00a0Clean and Simple Scrapbooking II<\/em> made it OK for me to make layouts that were, well, clean and simple.<\/p>\n

Ali Edwards<\/a> – whose ‘week in the life’ idea inspired me to make my first mini album, and whose blog is full of real life stories.<\/p>\n

Shimelle Lane<\/a> – who with her alter ego Glitter Girl, is so inspiring every week!<\/em><\/p>\n

Becky HIggins<\/a> – whose Project Life system provides such an easy way to scrapbook daily life that I still have some creative energy left for other projects.<\/p>\n

And do you know what? I think I could list at least another<\/strong> 10 inspirational women who have made their mark on my scrapbooking! Thanks so much, gals, for everything!<\/p>\n
